What we do

Our main product is the Edell Biosense rumen bolus. Given to the cow orally by a veterinarian, the bolus stays in the rumen and continuously monitors the cow’s body temperature, activity and drinking behaviour. Our mobile app instantly alerts the farm owner, herdsman and veterinarian to fever, heat and upcoming calving.

Why we do it

On a farm, the most expensive thing is noticing too late. Illnesses that progress until they become visible, heats missed overnight and unexpected calvings all affect both animal welfare and the farmer’s income. Our goal is to make advanced technology easy to use for farms of every size.

How we work

Edell Biosense is a brand of Edell Teknoloji Ltd., based in Istanbul, and develops rumen boluses, a mobile herd monitoring app and smart farming software for dairy and beef cattle. The Edell Biosense rumen bolus measures the cow’s body temperature and activity from the rumen and reports fever, heat and upcoming calving hours in advance.
